I have been using this product for three years and I’ve loved it. I enrolled in the three-month subscription pretty much right away to take advantage of the bulk savings offer (Clay Trio), so I was set for the year with four orders totaling about $50.
I understand that prices increase and subscriptions change. My last order was placed off cycle because we ran out early. It’s usually a fairly easy process. You log into your subscription, click “order now,” the order is placed immediately, and your subscription is pushed back three months.
However, this past order was different. I was sent only one container and charged the regular $50. When I looked into it, it appears the website no longer offers the trio package. Instead, you can now add a certain number of containers to be delivered every 1, 2, or 3 months, and the 10% subscription discount is applied to your order.
Going back to the price increase, three containers now total about $60+, just shy of the free shipping threshold. I’m still fine paying that price because I like the product. So I subscribed again and added a fourth container to qualify for free shipping. Now I’ll only need to place about three orders a year. Deal.
The real problem is that there’s no direct way to contact the company to explain that I was not notified the trio package was discontinued and that I was charged $50 for just one container of hair product. In this economy? There has been radio silence, and there’s no direct customer service contact, only a mail message system.
Maybe this post will get someone’s attention. But at this point, I’m considering exploring alternative options, especially since my new subscription isn’t set to renew until April 1.
I switched to Hardworking Gentlemen a couple of years ago. Using mainstream products was contributing to bad hair health and loss. Since using HWG, my hair loss has halted and even regenerated. In addition to the health benefit, I love the more natural look and feel of my hair with this product.
This is the absolute best hair product on the market. Perfect amount of hold while still providing volume.
